"Up On The Hill That's Where You'll Find Us..."

August 2011 - the plan was to spend 2 weeks in the Alps and do some serious hills with Dom, Tim and my godson Jake.
The role call was impressive: Morzine-Alvoriaz, Col de Ramaz, Joux de Plane, Mont Ventoux and Alpe d'Huez - all Tour hills. Whether our cycling was going to be as impressive was another question.
Looking back on it, it was a joy. I am indebted to Dom for the inspiration, the wonderful hospitality at the chalet, his amazing support on our road trip but most of all this video which encapsulates it all.

If you go no further, I need to shout loud that the last bit of the vid shows me doing Ventoux and Alpe d'Huez on consecutive days without stopping on the hills. Yeah total immodesty but by god I'm pleased with that fact.
